Unashamedly influenced by everyones favourite drug infused bands of the 60s The Velvet Undergound, this glamorous bunch will have us all singin, stompin n groovin along to their awesome renditions.

Charm, modesty and a lot of talent. As one of the most characteristic sounding groups in Europe today, Perry Dear & The Deerstalkers display their very distinctive sound that has made them one of the most “in demand” groups in the Big Beat scene. Nowadays there are a significant lot of contemporary bands playing garage rock. Furthermore there are a handful of groups playing «Merseybeat» and even fewer «Shadows instrumental bands». And then there’s Perry Dear & The Deerstalkers. Steeped in the golden age of the instrumental circa April 1962 to December 1963, when Fender six string bass instrumentals posed a serious threat to both Merseybeat and the «Shadows guitar groups». It is no exaggeration to state that Perry Dear & The Deerstalkers are experts in their field.

It's taken a few years of asking, begging, pleading but finally the Nancy boys have agreed to reform for your Wild Weekend pleasure! Truly another step back in time as they played the second ever Frat Shack!

Rhythm a Billy junk to The Wild Weekend. Expect all your fave farmyard classics such as Fungus Among us, Boweevil song, Diggin My potatoes, and many more...

We are really excited to have found this combo... honking horns, thumpin bass and gravelly gritty vocals, it's 'Jamaican Rhythm n Ska' perfection! Fronted by multi-instrumentalist King Zepha himself, they've played all over the world.... first time at The Wild Weekend.

The Hangees are the result of a genetic mutation experiment that has created this

three-headed creature, these misfits have a mean dark sound worthy of the best 60s garage punksters

"You Just Gotta Know My Mind" Dana's 1968 debut single, written for her by Donovan is simply one of the best girl songs of the sixties. She will be performing it live for the first time in many many years. We can't wait!

Throughout the 60s and 70s Dana performed and partied with the stars: David Bowie,

Keith Moon, Jummy Page, Bob Dylan. She appeared on Ready Steady Go.

Her film carer had her starring in fantastic lost b-movie adventures that perfectly tie in with the next theme of The Wild Weekend: People That Time Forgot, The Lost Continent and my favourite... a hilarious version of The Hound of The Baskervilles with Peter Cook & Dudley Moore.

TimeForgot.jpg

Dana Gillespie has forged a timeless career for herself with her first love... singing the blues.

She will be singing her favourite songs plus a few extras with an all-star Wild Weekend backup band.

As a special treat she will be sharing her stories of all these wild times at a special Q&A only at The Wild Weekend.

So do your homework and dig out and watch her watch her movies...
